Specialist Anaesthetist

I have been a Specialist Anaesthetist on the Central Coast for over 10 years.

Over that time I have maintained work across a range of specialty surgeries, and patient groups from infants to the elderly. Areas of interest include ENT surgeries; Orthopaedic surgeries of the Hand, Shoulder and Lower limb; Obstetric and Gynaecology procedures; Abdominal and Pelvic surgery; Back, Neck and Peripheral neurosurgery; Ophthalmic surgery; Breast Cancer and reconstructive surgery; Emergency surgery; as well as High Risk Anaesthetic Assessment and advice. 

Coupled with this broad mix of clinical work has been ongoing non-clinical contributions including work with the University of Newcastle as Coordinator of their final year Anaesthesia Program at Gosford Hospital; with the College of Surgeons instructing for their EMST (Early Management of Severe Trauma) program; as Director of Medical Services at Gosford Private Hospital (2021-2024); as inaugural Chair of the Anaesthetic Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committee at Gosford Hospital (2020-2023); and ongoing roles in medical simulation at RNSH as an EMAC (Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises, 2012 – ongoing) instructor and as an Examiner for ANZCA (Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, 2016 – ongoing). 

My core drive across all of my clinical and non-clinical work is to get the best out of myself and the team professionally to ensure good patient care.
